Liverpool Football Club (also well-known as the Reds) is an English professional
football club that currently plays in the Premier League. It is situated in Liverpool, Merseyside. The home ground of the team is Anfield. It is a UEFA 4-star rated stadium with capacity of 45,362 all seated. Anfield is famous for its wonderful atmosphere and noise. The club want to built a new Stanley Park Stadium. They plan to open it in 2011. The capacity of the new stadium will be about 60,000. The present co-chairmen of the club are Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
Thomas O. Hicks is a Dallas businessman. His wealth is about $1.3 billion USD. George N. Gillett Jr. II is an American businessman. He is also owner of the ice hockey team Montreal Canadiens and the NASCAR auto racing team Gillett Evernham Motorsports. The current manager is Rafael (”Rafa”) Benítez Maudes. He is a former football player (Castilla, Parla, Linares).
