The Scottish national joined Everton in March of 2002, after leading Preston North End to several successful finishes four years prior. From Celtic to Bristol City, Moyes took over the club as a seasoned veteran with experience, skill, and determination. He led Everton to a decent placing in his first season, and received the prestigious LMA Manager of The Year award. David continued to bring prominence to the club, by signing noteworthy players and tackling obstacles. Although he lost Wayne Rooney early in his tenure, Moyes surpassed his detractors in the years to come. He advanced Everton into the Champions League, UEFA Cup, FA Cup, and took the LMA Manger of the Year once again. The stadium has seen much development throughout its existence, and also played host to numerous international fixtures and events. From the FA Cup Final to the 1996 FIFA World Cup, it has been the venue for some of the most historic football matches to date. Although a new stadium in the Kirkby section of Liverpool is being considered, the hearts of Everton and its followers remain at Goodison Park.
